On July 1, Experity announced that it has acquired Exdion Healthcare, an AI-driven software company specializing in coding, billing, compliance, and revenue cycle management for healthcare organizations. According to Experity, the acquisition will allow for integration of AI capabilities across clinical, operational, and financial workflows to automate more of the revenue cycle and reduce administrative work for the urgent care practices that rely on Experity’s electronic medical records, practice management, patient engagement, revenue cycle, teleradiology, and business intelligence services. Exdion’s proprietary platform processes most patient visits without manual intervention using machine learning and automated workflows, which leads to accelerated revenue capture at scale.
Fast workflow: Experity notes that organizations using the combined enterprise technology with the AI-driven automated workflows have achieved an 86% reduction in claim denials, along with improvements in coding accuracy, charge capture, and reimbursement speed. The insurance-focused affiliate of Exdion Healthcare was not included in the acquisition and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
