More than a dozen urgent care operators across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut have filed a federal lawsuit against Solv Health, a platform that hosts a directory of urgent cares with digital features allowing consumers to book appointments. The urgent cares allege in Excel Urgent Care of Astoria PLLC et al. v. Solv Health, Inc. that Solv misrepresented their services, including claims that certain centers did not offer online scheduling when in fact they did. The plaintiffs contend that Solv’s platform steered patients toward Solv’s partner clinics by suggesting faster or more convenient access to care. The complaint also asserts that Solv’s listings created the impression of affiliation or endorsement by the urgent care centers, which the plaintiffs deny. The lawsuit cites alleged violations of federal false advertising laws as well as state consumer-protection and unfair-competition statutes, and the urgent care operators are seeking monetary damages, corrective advertising, and injunctive relief to prevent further misrepresentations.
