Diagnosis: The x-ray reveals that the clavicle is superior to the acromion (arrows). A transverse lucency through the glenoid also is evident. Referral to orthopedics for evaluation of an acromioclavicular joint injury and possible fracture of the glenoid fossa is appropriate for this patient.
